This room is pretty typical of the refurbishment I’ve been doing over the last 5 years or so.  This room had a really old hardwood floor that was damaged, had been painted a bunch of times, and had so many dips a crevaces that is was hard to sweep and keep clean.  We laid down plywood and a commercial tile with as tight a fit as possible around the borders.  The walls of the room were patched and smoothed where necessary, painted throughout.  In this case we also installed a new sink and new windows.
