Custom Handicapped Bathroom

This is a custom bathroom that I designed and built for the first floor of an old house, replacing a toilet room with a modern all inclusive shower/bathroom. The room is approximately 6.5 feet square, and the entire room is a shower with a sink and toilet inclusive.

The shower floor in the shower/bathroom is 3’x6 1/2′. The stone mandala makes the final slop to the drain. The other half of the floor rises sharply to meet flush with the Hardwood floor of the hallway.
Safety bars were installed on all 4 walls of this bathroom.
The pocket door helps with a tight corner in the back of the house where this bathroom is located.
All 4 walls are covered with this lovely blue/grey metallic veined stone from India.

The bar for the adjustable shower head is also a secured safety bar. The toilet provides a convenient spot to sit for showers, and the shower head can be adjusted right on to it.
